The Many Tigers got off to a quick start last Friday night as they scored 2 tds on 2 offensive plays enroute to a 52-18 win over the Red River Bulldogs.
WR Trevor McClendon got the scoring started on a 15 yard touchdown run with 9:42 left in the first quarter, as Deacon LaFollette pat was good for a 7-0 lead for the Tiger's.
The Bulldogs, second punt in the early part of the game, as the Tigers netted the ball at their own 40 yard line . On first down Jeremiah James scored on a 60 yard touchdown run to up the Tigers lead 14-7 on LaFollette kick, 7:52 still in the first quarter.
With 4:36 in the first quarter, LaFollette kicked a 27 yard field goal for a 17-0.
Red River got a defensive touchdown when QB Hayden Evans fumbled into the end zone as the Bulldogs recovered, pat good, now 17-8, 10:59 left in the second quarter.
On the kickoff, the Tigers would start at the Bulldogs 46, and it was James up the middle of the Bulldogs defense and scored on a 46 yard touchdown, LaFollette pat good, now 24-8, 10:38 still remaining in the first half of play.
But James fumbled at the 44, only to have the Bulldogs fumble back to the Tigers. The Tigers would drive down to the 12 yard line. Evans attempted a pass in the end zone, but was picked off by the Bulldogs defense
The Bulldogs would go 4 and out after the interception, as the Tigers started in good field position at the Bulldogs 37, as James would add his third touchdown of the contest on a 30 yard touchdown run, LaFollette pat is good for a 31-8 lead with 1:53 left in the second quarter, as halftime ended at 31-8.
In the third quarter, Tiger's put together a 52 yard in 5 plays as Evans connected with Ky Warren for a 31 touchdown pass with LaFollette pat, score now is 38-8, 9:22 left in the third quarter. The 52 yard drive took the Tigers 2:48 to score.
James picked up his fourth touchdown of the contest on a 22 yard run with 7:59, left in the third quarter and added a 25 touchdown run with 5:13 left, as LaFollette added two pat kicks for a 52-8 lead.
With 6:50 left in the game, the Bulldogs got a safety, and scored their first offensive touchdown of the night on a 30 yard run, pat for 2 was good, as the Tigers win 52-18, now 4-0 in district, 6-2 on the year. The Tigers will close out the regular season this Thursday night at Lakeview.
