KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that a woman is accused of beating a man to death in Port Neches over the weekend. According to the report, officers were dispatched to the Palms Apartment Complex shortly after 9:00 on Friday evening when it was reported that a individual had been brought to a medical facility following an incident that was said to have occurred at the apartments. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found the body of 24-year-old Gregory Bobeneux, who they believe had been stabbed and beat to death with a baseball bat. After speaking with witnesses, police later arrested 20-year-old McKenzie Eary who was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where she was charged with murder and placed under $100,000 bail. No additional information has been released pending further investigation of the incident.
