Sergeant Shana Clark with the Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver of a motorcycle is in serious condition following an accident that occurred on Sunday evening east of Jasper in nearby Newton County. According to Clark, the man, whose name has not been released, was riding a 2018 KMT dirt bike south on Farm to Market Road 1012, just south of Highway 63 and the County Line Liquor Store, shortly after 6:00, when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and it went off the road. Clark said the man was taken by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment, but word is that he might have been taken to another facility for additional treatment.
