Warren couple involved in a crash that killed a 92-year-old woman

A Tyler County couple was involved in a Saturday morning crash in Polk County which left a woman dead and her husband hospitalized. Polk County Today is reporting that it occurred shortly after 9:00 on U.S. Highway 190 at Farm to Market Road 350, less than a mile west of the Livingston city limits. According to the report, DPS troopers say Durwood Fails, 76, of Warren, was drving westbound in a 2007 GMC pickup truck, while Clark Lott, 90, of Livingston, was driving southbound on FM 350 in a 2006 Lincoln Town Car. The report said Lott pulled out directly in front of Fails, resulting in the truck hitting the passenger side of the car. Lott’s wife, Nora Lott, 92, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mr. Lott was flown by medical helicopter to a Houston hospital. Meanwhile, Fails and his wife were both transported by ambulances to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital.
