WASHINGTON. - A North Louisiana police officer was among those honored Wednesday night during the annual candlelight vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
Officer Marc Brock of the Vivian Police Department was one of 109 fallen officers whose names were added to the memorial this year. The ceremony, held on the National Mall, recognized law enforcement members who died in the line of duty in 2025.
Family members and fellow officers from Vivian gathered as Brock’s name was read aloud, a tribute to his service and sacrifice. The vigil is a cornerstone of National Police Week, ensuring the legacies of fallen officers are recognized on a national stage.
