A Vernon Parish Jury has convicted a New Llano man in a child sexual assault case with the victim being under 13 years of age.
James Karlson, 54, was found guilty on a first degree Rape charge, which in Louisiana carries an automatic life sentence.
The case began with the arrest of Karlson in August of 2023 and he was indicted by the Grand Jury in April of 2024.
