As we approach Independence Day, the National Forest Service has issued a reminder that fireworks are prohibited in national forests and their associated parks. In this region, that includes the Angelina, Sam Houston, Davy Crockett, and Sabine National Forests. National Forest Supervisor Kimpton Cooper says “Those possessing or discharging fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices in the national forests or grasslands can be ticketed and fined.”
