Trinity County sheriff identifies fugitive from Wednesday manhunt

GROVETON, Texas (KTRE) - Sheriff Woody Wallace has released information about a fugitive who evaded law enforcement on Wednesday after he and another man were reportedly found stealing generators, a tractor, a side-by-side, and other items from a deer lease on the Polk/Trinity County line. Wallace said the suspect who is on the run is Brian Taylor Wright, 40. Wright is 6 feet tall, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes. He is wanted for burglary of a habitation, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest or detention. An arrest warrant has been issued for Wright, the sheriff says. Another suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday after TDCJ dogs and other agencies joined the sheriff’s office in the manhunt.
