Word came late Tuesday afternoon that a Tyler County man who suffers from dementia and was reported missing has been found safe. Julie Chapman, of Jasper, says her brother, 67-year-old Walter Chapman was found and was returned to his home in the Ivanhoe Community. According to Julie, her brother was found still in the Ivanhoe Community and it was discovered that he had been staying in some abandoned trailers. Julie says that this is not the first time that her brother has wandered off from his home, and due to his cognitive status she is working on getting him into a care facility.
