There were no injuries, but there was a big mess after an accident Monday afternoon on Recreational Road 255. It happened at about 2:30 at the intersection with Masters Boulevard. It appeared that a Ford F-350 truck, which belonged to Hatch Farms in Kirbyville, was pulling a bulldozer on a trailer and traveling westbound when it collided with the front-driver side quarter-panel of another pickup truck. The collision resulted in the bulldozer coming off the trailer and rolling over at least one time before landing right-side-up on the highway. Meanwhile, the tracks and the various implements were knocked off of the dozer. The accident also resulted in deep and long gouges in the highway surface. The Lake Rayburn Fire Department handled traffic control as DPS troopers and Jasper County deputies investigated the crash. KJAS News will update this story when more information is released by DPS.
