An on-court brawl in the Hull-Daisetta and Burkeville High School basketball game will keep both teams off the court during the state playoffs. Hull-Daisetta ISD posted the UIL decision on its Facebook page Thursday night. Hull-Daisetta and Burkeville are suspended from the 2025 boys’ basketball playoffs. Therefore, Hull-Daisetta will not participate in the playoff game originally scheduled for February 17, 2025. The brawl Tuesday night involved parents and students streaming onto the basketball court at Hull-Daisetta High School during the first quarter of the game with Burkeville High School, prompting the cancellation of the game and a large-scale investigation.
