Two people were taken to the hospital following a Saturday afternoon auto accident that occurred at the intersection of West Gibson and South Bowie Streets.
Police were dispatched to the location in front of Elijah's Cafe shortly before 4:00 when it was reported the two vehicle accident involving an early model Hyundai sedan and a Nissan Rogue had occurred.
Police have not released a report on what happened or who was involved, but two people, both said to be occupants of the Nissan were taken by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment for what was said to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police kept traffic flowing on Gibson Street until the wreckage was cleared from the roadway.
