NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Officers are investigating after a 12-year-old was shot just before midnight Saturday, acccording to the Nacogdoches Police Department.
The Nacogdoches Police Department said around 11:38 p.m., officers and EMS responded to the Eastwood Terrace subdivision on reports of a shooting.
A child was found with a gunshot wound and was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital and then flown a regional medical trauma center.
According to the NPD, the child is currently stable. The child’s name will not be released at this time.
The NPD said investigators are still working to identify the circumstances around the shooting.
