Two mobile homes and a travel trailer were destroyed in an early Sunday morning fire just south of Jasper. The Jasper, Tri-Community, and Beech Grove Fire Departments responded shortly after midnight to the blaze on County Road 356 off of Farm to Market Road 252. Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter said firefighters arrived to find the two mobile homes already fully engulfed in flames. According to Gunter, the owner said that the travel trailer which was destroyed by fire was being dismantled and the components were being burned in a debris pile. Gunter says it's believed that the fire spread from the debris pile. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
