Two people are reported to injured and undergoing hospital treatment following a tragic single vehicle auto accident that occurred early Friday morning north of Kirbyville. Firemen and other emergency crews were dispatched to the location on Highway 96 at County Road 486, shortly after 4:00 when it was reported that the crash had occurred. What happened is not known. However, firemen said the car went off the road, turned over and caught fire. One of the occupants of the vehicle was taken by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital. The other was transported by helicopter directly from the scene of the accident to a hospital in Beaumont. A State Trooper is investigating the incident and it is expected that a full report will be released later today.
