DERIDDER, La. (July 30, 2026) — Two people have been arrested following a vehicle burglary investigation conducted by the DeRidder Police Department.
Police said that on July 23, officers received a report of a vehicle burglary. Officers determined that multiple vehicles had been burglarized during the early hours.
Investigators collected surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses, which led to the identification of suspects believed to be involved in the crimes.
Authorities identified the suspects as:
- Shamari Harold, 18
- Cameron Mims, 18
Detectives later obtained a search warrant for a suspect's residence. During the execution of the warrant, investigators reportedly recovered property that had been stolen during the burglaries.
Both suspects were booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail on multiple charges.
