A truck driver suffered burns after his 18-wheeler crashed and caught on fire in Beaumont on Thursday afternoon. It happened at about 2:00 on the westbound lanes of the Interstate 10 Neches River Bridge. As Beaumont firefighters fought the flames, Beaumont Police had to shut down both the westbound and eastbound lanes of the interstate. A medical helicopter landed at the scene and flew the burned man to a hospital. No information about him is known.
