The volunteers of the Angelina River Fire Department were dispatched to County Road 56, in the Westwood Subdivision on nearby Lake Sam Rayburn, shortly before 8:00 on Thursday morning, when it was reported that a large home was on fire.
The firefighters arrived at the scene to find the wood frame structure completely engulfed in flames and already falling down with flames spreading to the wall of the home next door.
The fire was finally brought under control, but the home where the fire started was a complete loss. However, no injuries resulted from the incident.
Firemen said the home that was destroyed was owned by Richard Hardy.
