The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a teenager was arrested on a drug charge in Buna late Sunday morning. According to the report, the deputy noticed three people in a car acting suspicious on the parking lot of the Buna General Store on Highway 96.
The report said there were multiple containers of alcohol in the vehicle and two of the occupants were under-age.
According to the report, the deputy detained 18-year-old Kaleb Marshall Crowell, of Trinity, for an alcohol violation, but a search revealed him to be in possession of the drug MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.
Crowell was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
