PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - A Winona man is in the Anderson County Jail after police say they found a large amount of drugs and guns in his truck Sunday.
The incident began when Palestine police were called out to the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard around 4:32 a.m. Sunday for a suspicious person report. They say the man was seen outside a resident’s home with a flashlight, and upon arrival, Lucas Stevens, 31, was found nearby.
According to the PD, multiple guns found in Stevens truck led to a further search and investigation. This search reportedly found 380 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 97 grams of suspected oxycodone, marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and other items associated with drug trafficking. Stevens was also found to have multiple prior felony convictions.
Stevens has been charged with two counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, fraudulent use or possession of identification information, falsification of drug test results, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawfully carrying of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
He remains booked in the Anderson County Jail on bonds totaling $490,500.
