GLOSTER, La. -- The drivers of a SUV and farm tractor escaped injury this morning following a crash on U.S. Highway 171 in Gloster at Dixie Swim Club Road. The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. when the driver of a SUV going north crashed into the rear left corner of the tractor, causing it to roll over and eject the driver. DeSoto Fire District No. 2 paramedics and DeSoto Parish sheriff's deputies were on the scene within minutes. The tractor driver sustained only minor injuries but was taken by DeSoto EMS to Ochsner LSU Health to be evaluated. The SUV driver was evaluated and released on the scene.
