NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Parish School Board announced on March 26 that Brad Laird is coming to Natchitoches Central High School to become the school’s head football coach. This comes nearly six months after Laird resigned from being the head coach of Northwestern State University football, the same day the school canceled the remainder of the 2023 football season in remembrance of former Demon safety Ronnie Caldwell Jr. Laird spent six seasons at the helm of NSU football, totaling a 16-41 record with the Demons. He takes the reins of NCHS after Jess Curtis resigned on March 14 to be the head football coach at Southside High School. We will continue to follow this story as it develops.
