The Sabine River Authority released a statement on Thursday morning which said that the level of Toledo Bend Reservoir was at 172.42 feet above sea level, and their protocols are for the opening of flood gates to release water if the level reaches 172.50 feet above sea level.
Currently the dam is releasing water through both generators 24 hours a day.
The Sabine River Authority urged people who live along the Sabine River to monitor updates on the water level in the lake and the announcements of water releases.
