ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A heated discussion Thursday between two men in Angelina County ended in a fatal shooting.
The incident happened on a county road in Allentown, according to Sheriff Tom Selman. Jeffrey Arriola approached Philip Hunter Gersbach, who was sitting in his vehicle. The two men argued, and Arriola allegedly made a threat to Gersbach. Arriola was not armed, the sheriff said. Gersbach then allegedly shot Arriola, killing him, he said.
Gersbach was arrested and charged with murder. His bond was set at $15,000. He bonded out later the same day.
