There was smoke, but no fire on Tuesday evening in the Dollar General Store in the Dam B Community.
Both the Dam B and Woodville Fire Departments responded to a report of smoke in the building. However, using thermal imaging equipment they were unable to find any “hot-spots” as a source for the smoke.
Dam B Fire Chief Mark Holcomb told KJAS News, “It appears to be a ventilation problem, but no fire was found.”
The store was evacuated when smoke was detected.
