CENTER, Texas (KTRE) - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the owner and occupants of a white pickup.
On Friday, April 4, at around 1:30 p.m., a white pickup and an 18 wheeler passed each other approximately 3/4 mile south of Loop 500, on US-96 South of Center.
As the operator of the 18 wheeler met the white pickup, the rear seat-driver side passenger is believed to have thrown an object at the 18 wheeler, according to the sheriff’s office. The object shattered a portion of the 18 wheeler’s windshield. This damage caused the operator to receive facial lacerations, as well as causing shards of glass to embed in his eyes.
Fortunately, despite his injuries, he was able to safely get off of the roadway without further personal injury or injury to other drivers.
