LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin Independent School District police arrested a school employee on May 16. Justin Cole Snyder, 28, a janitor at Lufkin High School, was arrested on Thursday on sexual assault of a child charges. He was removed from school property and taken to the Angelina County Jail. Sheila Adams, executive director of communications and public relations for the district, said that Snyder was placed on administrative leave while the charges are being investigated. “We executed a warrant out of Jasper County for Justin Snyder. The alleged incident did not involve any Lufkin ISD students. He was immediately placed on administrative leave pending investigation,” Adams confirmed. Snyder remains in the Angelina County Jail as of Wednesday night.
