MANY, La. – A Sabine Parish man has been arrested on multiple counts after setting fire to a camper trailer with two people inside, State Fire Marshal Bryan J. Adams said. George Ebarb, 68, of Noble, was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center Saturday on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of aggravated arson. The fire was reported just before 2:30 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Weathy Lane in Noble. The two occupants, including a teenage girl, escaped safely, but the camper was destroyed. Sabine Parish sheriff’s deputies assisted in the investigation and determined the fire was intentionally set. Ebarb had been involved in a dispute with the camper owner earlier in the day, Adams said.
