RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - The Rusk County sheriff said his department is investigating a homicide on Wednesday.
Sheriff Johnwayne Valdez said that his department was called out to an incident that happened in the Brachfield area near Minden in the southeast area of the county.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman dead in the home. The man who is believed to have killed her fled from the scene. He was later picked up in Russellville, Arkansas, and will be extradited back to Rusk County.
An autopsy has been ordered in Tyler for the victim.
