The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a Kirbyville convicted sex offender who failed to comply with sex offender registry requirements and became a fugitive has been arrested in Liberty.
Officers arrested 27-year-old Sean Austin Smith after it was discovered he was living in Liberty and had not reported his change of address.
Additionally, the report said Smith is accused of committing several crimes in Liberty.
