RAGLEY, La. (KPLC) - The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office responded early this morning to a call about a truck dragging an ATM down U.S. 190. Using a truck reportedly stolen from Allen Parish, two people backed into the front doors of the Ragley Express Mart on U.S. 171. Sheriff Mark Herford said it took the suspects multiple attempts to break through the doors, then attempt to lift the ATM into the bed of the truck. Unable to do so, Herford said they resorted to tying the machine to the truck and dragging it away. After a witness passed the vehicle, Herford said the pair abandoned the truck and ATM. KPLC has requested surveillance video of the incident.
