KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that police there believe a shooting that left young child injured on Thursday was accidental.
Police were dispatched to a home on Maida Road just off of Helbig, around mid afternoon when it was reported the incident involving a five-year-old had occurred.
The child was taken by ambulance to Christus St. Hospital for treatment but was later transferred to a Hospital for additional care, where he was at last word reported to be in stable condition.
