There was excitement today in DeRidder when an immigration and customs enforcement agent reportedly fired a shot while trying to serve a warrant.
Witnesses say a Ford f-150 pickup truck came to a stop near the intersection of Stewart and Ken Williams Sreets after it nearly ran over an ice officer.
Tony Presley, who owns and operates a machine shop at the intersection said he heard gun fire and immediately took shelter between a Coke machine and a refrigerator near the front door of his businesses.
No one was hit and witnesses said three people jumped out of the truck and ran away.
No injuries resulted from the incident.
