SHELBY COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - The Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative announced an upcoming power outage for Shelby County residents. They said the outage will take place Friday from 8 a.m. to noon for customers served by the ‘Prospect Substation.’ This will allow the company to safely upgrade parts of the system, according to the release. The company said they plan to individually call and inform affected residents Thursday.
