WILLS POINT, Texas (KLTV) - A pilot is safe after a plane crash at Van Zandt County Regional Airport.
The plane was coming in for a landing around 12:56 p.m. when the pilot lost control and missed the runway, according to Wills Point Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ed Leipply.
The pilot was not injured, Leipply said.
He added the plane remained upright in the crash, but sustained damage, including to its propeller and elevator.
