SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A fatal crash closed a roadway in Smith County early Thursday morning.
Smith County Emergency Services District 2 said the wreck was reported around 6:33 a.m. on FM 14, south of County Road 326 W. Authorities said only one vehicle was involved.
Officials urged drivers to seek an alternate route, such as Lavender Road or Highway 69, while first responders tended to patients and worked to clear the roadway, which is now back open but traffic is moving slowly.
