PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - Palestine police have identified the man who died in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday. Police say the wreck happened just after 12:30 in the 2100 block of Crockett Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a Ford Explorer and a motorcycle in the roadway. The motorcycle driver was unresponsive when first responders arrived, according to police. The investigation revealed that a silver Ford Explorer, driven by Cathrine Reagan, 40, of Elkhart, pulled out of the Palestine Mall driveway onto Crockett Rd. The motorcycle, driven by Gary McShan, 59, of Elkhart, was traveling south on Crockett Rd. Reagan pulled out in front of McShan, causing the motorcycle to strike the driver’s side of the vehicle, police said. McShan was taken to Palestine Regional by EMS. He was pronounced dead in the emergency room. Police say an inquest in being performed by the Precinct 2 justice of the peace.
