NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested a juvenile for several burglaries that occurred on July 31. Around 12:34 a.m., NPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Poete Street after getting word of two juveniles breaking into vehicles. NPD was able to apprehend one of the juveniles while the other fled the area on foot. The juvenile who fled on foot has been identified and an arrest is expected in the imminent future. The juvenile that was arrested was charged with two counts of simple burglary of a motor vehicle, two counts of attempted simple burglary of a motor vehicle and curfew violation. The juvenile was placed in a juvenile facility in Jackson Parish.
