KTRE 9 News is reporting that one person is dead and two others were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Saturday morning east of Lufkin. It happened shortly before 10:00 on Highway 103. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Dustin Blalock, 40, of Huntington, was driving a Honda Civic eastbound when crossed onto the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Chevrolet wrecker truck, driven by Mark Steinhardt, 26, of Temple. The Honda then collided with a Toyota Highlander, driven by Lisa Zela, 52, of Bronson. Blalock was pronounced dead at the scene, while Steinhardt and Zela were both taken to a hospital in Lufkin with non-life threatening injuries.
