The Texas Department of Public Safety says a woman was critically injured in a Friday morning crash. It happened shortly before 10:00 on Highway 190, west of Jasper. DPS Sergeant Shana Clark said the wreck involved Jamie Harrod, 43, and Toni Stanley, 27, both of Woodville. According to Sergeant Clark, Harrod was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on the inside lane and Stanley was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse westbound on the outside lane. Clark said Stanley made an unsafe lane change and hit the passenger side of the Jeep, resulting in both vehicles crashing. Sergeant Clark said Stanley had life-threatening injuries and was transported to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, while Harrod was evaluated on-scene for injuries and released. The volunteers of the Beech Grove Fire Department were called to the scene to assist in freeing the occupants of the vehicle and to stand by in case of fire.
