Officers search for man on the run

The Huntington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who fled from an officer. Meanwhile, KJAS News has received unconfirmed information that the man possibly has ties to Jasper. According to police, an officer attempted to identify him very early Tuesday morning, but police say he gave three fictitious identities. When the officer attempted to place him into custody, police say he resisted arrest and then fled on foot into a wooded area behind Brookshire Brothers on Highway 69 and managed to elude capture. Huntington Police say the man now faces charges of Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, and Failure to Identify.
