Woodville log truck driver involved in a crash in Polk County

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

A Tyler County log truck driver escaped injury despite rolling his fully-loaded rig in Polk County early Thursday afternoon. Polk County Today is reporting that the crash occurred during the noon hour on Farm to Market Road 1276, 3 miles south of Highway 190 and just west of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation. The report said 62-year-old Duane Trainer, of Woodville, was traveling northbound. Trainer told investigating troopers that the trailer broke, causing the logs to shift and then the entire rig rolled over. Trainer and his dog, “Shorty”, both climbed out of the wreckage uninjured.
