Newton Police Chief Will Jackson has announced the arrest of a fugitive who managed to elude capture for over two years. According to Chief Jackson, 28-year-old Dominique Rayvon Bass committed Aggravated Robbery in May of 2022, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Jackson said he recently received information that Bass had been staying in the Houston area. So, with the help of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, they tracked him down and arrested him. He’s now in the Newton County Jail where he has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and his bond was set at $500,000.00. Bass was also wanted for Bond Forfeiture on an original charge of Indecency with a Child/Sexual Contact.
