NATCHITOCHES, La. -- The Natchitoches Police Department has identified a man wanted in connection with a murder that happened earlier this month.
Police say Daren Vaughn, 23, is a suspect in the Jan. 10 shooting that left a 19-year-old dead.
Vaughn is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and obstruction of justice. Natchitoches police consider him armed and dangerous.
The shooting happened on Dorothy Street. Officers arrived to find the victim, Curtis Doty, suffering from several gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures performed at the scene, Doty was pronounced dead.
