Burkeville Fire Chief Charles Duckworth says a motorcyclist was injured after he collided with a deer on Saturday. It happened during the noon hour on Farm to Market Road 1012 in the Jamestown Community. According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark, 65-year-old Terry Abshire, of Buna, was traveling northbound on a 2017 Indian Roadmaster when the accident occurred. Clark said Abshire had possible life-threatening injuries and he was rushed to St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
