JENNINGS, La. (KPLC) - A woman and her adult son were shot and killed in a “domestic incident” at a home in Jennings Sunday, police said.
Family members requested a welfare check at the Alice Street home after not seeing the pair for a week, Jennings Police Chief Danny Semmes said. Police went inside and found the bodies of both people, who had been shot and had guns near them.
Police believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute, Semmes said. It is under investigation as a double homicide.
Semmes said there is no threat to the public.
Their identities have not yet been released.
