NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested a woman from Many following a car chase on April 8.
Around 11:49 a.m., NPD said officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 925 Keyser Avenue in reference to a theft in progress. NPD said officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop the car. The vehicle initially stopped in the 500 block of Keyser Avenue but then fled at a high rate of speed.
After chasing the car down Keyser Avenue and through several neighborhoods, NPD said the suspect stopped at the dead end of McClelland Drive near Edna Avenue. Officers were able to place Samantha Holden, 38, under arrest without further incident.
Holden is charged with aggravated flight from an officer, theft, reckless operation, eight counts of general speed, two counts of stop signs, four counts of traffic control signal, nine counts of driving on the right side of the road, method of turning at an intersection and driving in a turn lane. She was placed in the LaSalle Corrections / Natchitoches Detention Center.
