Man reported missing in Natchitoches Parish found dead

There’s a sad ending to a case of a missing man in Natchitoches Parish. The sheriff’s department there says the body of 44-year-old Larry E. Page was found in a wooded area. The report from the sheriff’s department said that on Wednesday the man’s wife reported that he had been missing for several days. The report said deputies remembered a suspicious vehicle call over the weekend just north of Campti in which the man’s vehicle was found abandoned on a private deer lease road. They called the registered owner’s home, his wife spoke to them, and she went there and drove the vehicle home. According to the report, deputies went back to that same location and began searching the wooded area and soon found his body about 150 feet off of the road. The report didn’t say how Page may have died, but it did say that foul play is not suspected. Meanwhile, the body was sent to Shreveport for an autopsy.
