SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A 26-year-old man was arrested Sunday afternoon (May 12) and is facing two charges. At about 4:30 p.m., a woman called Shreveport police officers to the 2600 block of Devaugh Street in regard to assault and battery. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Keunte Williams, was refusing to return her belongings, according to SPD. When officers made contact with Williams, he tried to pull a gun out. After a brief struggle, they managed to take the weapon from him. No injuries to officers or others were reported. Williams was charged with one count of aggravated assault on a police officer and one count of resisting an officer. He is currently in custody pending further legal proceedings.
