The office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced that a Woodville business owner and community leader has been appointed to the board of the Lower Neches Valley Authority, commonly known as the LNVA. Lee Mann, the owner of Mann Furniture in Woodville, Woodville City Councilman, and President of the Woodville Rotary Club, will join the LNVA Board of Directors for a term that expires in July of 2027. Established in 1933, the LNVA is headquartered in Beaumont and the function of the entity is to store, control, conserve, and utilize the water of the lower Neches River valley. Most notably, the LNVA created and maintains canals throughout the Golden Triangle which transports water to rice fields, refineries, and several other uses.
